FRIENDS of Highland Township Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting our library.
Support Your Library AS A FRIEND
Many are unaware of the FRIENDS of the Highland Township Library as we are a quiet partner assisting our local library. We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization, with sole purpose of raising funds for activities and programs that are beyond what our taxes support.
The FRIENDS collect gently used books, puzzles, and games from community members all year long. We offer these items at two major sales each year as well as the third Saturday of each month. Membership is open to all area residents (see below) and we invite you to become a FRIEND and help support projects such as Adult, Teen, and Children's Reading Programs and other educationally oriented programs for children of all ages.
Donate used books
Share books, puzzles, games, etc. that you have enjoyed by donating to FRIENDS. Donations are collected on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays during library hours.
Attend Used book Sales
A FRIENDS used book sale is an opportunity to find books of all genres and age levels – even vintage books! There are puzzles, comic books, sheet music and more at our huge semi-annual sales. You are invited to shop from our daily cart in the library's lobby, monthly in our used book room and at other special times during the year.
Volunteer
Assessing used books and helping to organize are primary jobs. There is also a need for researching vintage items or helping with the setup, management, and teardown of semi-annual book sales.
Annual Membership:
– Students & Seniors $5
– Individual & Family $10
– Businesses $50

Members are invited to participate in FRIENDS meetings on the second Thursday every other month. Please see the library calendar for dates and times.
Volunteering With Perks
Browse and purchase used books every 3rd Saturday of each month and watch for other great sales posted on the FRIENDS Facebook page throughout the year.
